The ASB (or Associates in Specialized Business) is a two-year degree. Accounting is just one area of training in business one can receive via this kind of program. There are many opportunities for holders of an ASB in accounting.

  1. Industry

    • In industry, the ASB graduate may work for a manufacturing company, small business or retail firm in positions such as bookkeeper, office manager, accounts receivable, accounts payable or payroll.

    Government

    • Employment opportunities may also exist in local, state and federal agencies. You may work in the treasury office, tax department, water/sewer billing or purchasing.
