Founded in Queensland, Australia, in 1920, Qantas is the second-oldest airline in the world. Today it is Australia's largest airline, serving 182 destinations in 44 countries, with a fleet of 252 aircraft.

  1. Domestic and International Flights

    • Qantas, along with its subsidiary, Jetstar, offers 5,600 domestic flights a week. Jetstar also offers an additional 160 domestic flights each week in New Zealand. Qantas offer more than 970 international flights a week.

    Travel Classes

    • Qantas offers six travel classes for passengers. From the most luxurious to the most economical, these include first, international business, international premium economy, international economy, domestic business and domestic economy.

    Frequent Flyer Program

    • Qantas offers a frequent flyer program that is the largest and most popular airline loyalty program in the southern hemisphere. More than 7.2 million customers have joined the program.

    Points Plus Pay

    • Qantas offers the Points Plus Pay system that allows frequent flyer members to use a combination of accumulated points plus money to purchase a ticket.

    Airbus A380

    • As of January 2010, Qantas has six of the large Airbus A380 aircraft in its fleet. These aircraft carry up to 450 passengers. Qantas reports that by 2015, it will have 20 of these aircraft in its fleet.
