Working as a nanny abroad gives you the opportunity to experience a new culture.

For those who love children, becoming a nanny can be rewarding. If you enjoy traveling, becoming a nanny overseas is a good way to experience a different culture or learn a new language as well as make new friends.

  1. Qualifications

    • Many countries have specific qualifications that must be met before accepting a position as a nanny. Before you make a decision as to which country to work in, ensure you meet the necessary requirements.

    Portfolio

    • Prepare a portfolio. Include your work experience as a nanny, your qualifications and any other relevant information such as languages you speak, sports or musical instruments that you play.

    Agency

    • Many agencies deal specifically with an overseas work placement as a nanny. You may have to pay a fee, however. Many agencies will provide a background check of the family you may be staying with. You may need to provide your portfolio as well as a recent photo.
