The Purpose of Clear Mascara

The Purpose of Clear Mascara thumbnail
Clear mascara has many uses.

Mascara is available in colors -- such as black, brown and blue -- or in clear. Clear mascara has many benefits that colored mascara does not have. Does this Spark an idea?

  1. Gives a Natural Look

    • When applied to the eyelashes, clear mascara is beneficial in defining and separating the lashes, resulting in a natural, smudge-free look. The glossy sheen of clear mascara will also make a person's eyelashes appear longer.

    Adheres and Seals Color

    • Clear mascara is also beneficial when using colored mascara. Applying clear mascara prior to applying color mascara helps the mascara adhere to the eyelashes. To seal in the color and prevent smudging, apply a thin coat of clear mascara over the colored mascara.

    Shapes and Holds Eyebrows

    • Clear mascara is a simple and effective way to shape the eyebrows and hold them in place. Using clear mascara on the eyebrows is less messy than colored and gives the brows a more natural appearance.
