Training extends to areas of security as well, focusing on escape driving, counter ambush tactical exercises, route planning, motorcade security and how to use a vehicle as a defensive weapon.

Duration

Program length varies according to the depth of instruction and topics covered. For example, some organizations offer intensive, two-day evasive driving classes, while others provide seven-day comprehensive courses.

As of October, 2010, a two-day evasive driving course offered by J.A. LaSorsa and Associates costs $850, while an extensive five-day course from Safehouse costs $3,100.
