Why to Hire an RCDD
BICSI is an accredited organization that provides education and credential programs to the information technology systems (ITS) industry. The Registered Communications Distribution Designer (RCDD) designation is one of the BICSI's offered credentials.
-
Expertise
-
To qualify for the RCDD exam, you must have passed BISCI's ITS Fundamentals examination. You must also have either five years of ITS design experience or two years experience plus three years additional ITS equivalents (any combination of experience, education and license/certification).
Renewed Credentials
-
RCDD registration renewal is required every three years. All active RCDDs are required to participate in BICSI's structured continuing education agenda prior to taking the renewal exam. This keeps RCDDs aware and informed of current renewal specifications.
-
Range of Knowledge
-
RCDDs have a wide range of industry knowledge. The RCDD exam tests all the fundamentals of telecommunications distribution design. BICSI also provides over 100 different training courses and seminars to its active RCDDs.
Required
-
You may be required to hire a RCDD, as many private and state organizations require or request the designation as part of their bidding criteria.
Resources
-
Through their membership in the BICSI, RCDDs have a network of almost 20,000 telecommunications professionals working in all aspects of the industry.
