Natural Ant Killer for Gardens
Killing ants in your garden is tricky because you need natural products that will remove the problem, without damaging any of your plants. Mixing sugar and water or using the right plants will kill the ants and keep the insects from returning. Does this Spark an idea?
-
Types
-
Equal parts white sugar and water placed around the garden lure the ants in, but the bugs then drown in the solution. Two parts molasses with one part yeast and one part sugar also kills the ants. The yeast in the mixture causes their stomachs to explode when mixed with water.
Considerations
-
Protect the molasses mixture by using it in a small plastic bowl with a lid. Poke holes in the top of the lid, large enough for the ants to enter and leave. The ants carry the solution back to the nest and spread it to others.

Prevention
-
Planting mint in your garden may help keep the ants from invading your garden. The strong smell of the mint acts as a deterrent and keeps ants from the surrounding areas.
