Pogo is a website that allows users to play hundreds of online games solo or with other players, including Yahtzee or Monopoly, for free. The user may have a difficult loading the Flash games on the website.

  1. Identification

    • When a person logs onto the Pogo website and attempts to load a games table or room, the Web browser may display a blank screen or lag on the "Loading" message instead of actually loading the game.

    Causes

    • The user's Web browser or Java software may have a full cache. These issues are common because Pogo games may require more cache space than other websites or online activities.

    Clearing the Browser Cache

    • The Pogo user can try clearing his or her Internet data. In Firefox, the user can press "Control," "Shift" and "Delete" simultaneously, click "Details" and click all check boxes to clear data. Internet Explorer users can open the "Tools" menu and click "Delete Browsing History" to open a screen with a button to "Delete All" content.

    Javascript Cache

    • Windows users can open the Control Panel and double click the "Java" icon to open the Java settings screen. On the "General" tab is a "Settings" button and if the user clicks the button, he can click "Delete Files" to clear the Java cache.

Pogo uses either Java or Flash to run its games. This article does not address the inability to load those Flash-based games as Java isn't an issue with those. There are many things that could be effecting the inability to load Flash games from browser add-ons interfering with the load to adjusting the Hardware Acceleration in the display panel and host of other things in-between.
