Jazzmaster Workout
The best jazz musicians play from their heart rather than a sheet of music. With the Jazzmaster Workout, you can learn both technique and improvisation and teach yourself to play jazz as though you played it all your life.

Jim Grantham
-
The Jazzmaster Workout program is for any instrument. Jim Grantham, a graduate of the University of California in Santa Barbara and Berklee College of Music in Boston, developed the Jazzmaster Workout program. As a professional musician, Grantham teaches and plays jazz music and promotes new jazz artists. In the late 1970s, he hosted jazz improvisation and theory workshops at the San Fransisco Jazz Club. These continue today and form the basis from which the Jazzmaster Workout evolved.
The Program
-
Learn the art of improvisational jazz. The Jazzmaster Workout is a program of learning jazz theory and improvisation. Grantham put the program together to enable anyone to play jazz, with any instrument and with any -- or no -- background in music.

Play Jazz
-
Teach yourself to play jazz music. With Grantham's passion for promoting live, improvisational music, he designed the Jazzmaster Workout so that would-be jazz musicians can learn to play jazz and improvise their own style of jazz. It is a program you can work through on your own or with the guidance of a music teacher.
