What Is the Difference Between Minolta Cameras 7000i & 7000?

Minolta cameras have been around for more than a century.

Minolta cameras have been around for decades. Two of those film cameras are the 7000 and 7000i models. While similar in many ways, there are a few differences between these single lens reflex (SLR) cameras.

Release Date

The Minolta 7000 and 7000i models are discontinued film SLR cameras sold in the 1980s. The Minolta Maxxum 7000 was released in 1985, while the Maxxum 7000i (also called Dynax 7000i) was released in 1988. Both models have since been discontinued.

ISO Range

The ISO range on the Minolta 7000 is 25 to 6900 on manual settings. The ISO range on the Minolta 7000i is 25 to 6400.

Dimensions

The dimensions of the 7000 model are 52 x 91.6 x138 mm. Dimensions for the 7000i are 142 x 97 x 66 mm.
