How Does Crayola 3D Chalk Work?

An old-time classic has gotten a facelift.

With 3D becoming a 21st century trend, children's entertainment is getting flooded with upgrades. Now, specialized sidewalk chalk allows otherwise flat driveway images to come to life in 3D.

Equipment

Make sure you have the necessary equipment before you get started.

The chalk plays a crucial role in creating 3D images; however, 3D glasses are necessary as well. For your convenience, each 3D chalk kit includes at least one pair of 3D glasses.

Color

Knowing the difference between warm and cool colors will enhance the final product.

Each piece of 3D chalk comes with two sides, warm and cool. When using the colors as a pair, the desired 3D effect will be obtained.

How It Works

Remember, warm rises and cool sinks.

Warm and cool colors register at different heights when viewed through 3D glasses. After drawing an image, put on the provided glasses and watch the warm colors rise and the cool colors sink into the pavement, creating a 3D chalk image.
