Cage

The rose-haired tarantula fares best in an appropriately-sized secure glass or plastic enclosure, away from drafts. Tarantulas do not require much room, as it makes them feel exposed; therefore, the cage should be just large enough for them to move around freely. A five- or 10-gallon tank is ideal.
Bedding

Tarantulas enjoy moist bedding at least 3 inches deep. Small half logs or pieces of bark for the tarantula to use for burrowing help to mimic its natural setting.

Soil

Organic soil containing peat moss and sandy soil or bed-a-beast, which is made from coconut fibers, makes a good substrate for rose hair tarantulas. The soil should be free of chemicals and moist but not so moist that it will not support a burrow.
