Why Is Tourism in the Caribbean So Attractive?

The Caribbean Islands are a hot tourist destination.

The Caribbean Sea and its multitude of islands are located just below the Gulf of Mexico, nestled in between the continents of North and South America. Tourism has long been the primary industry on the majority of the Caribbean islands, due largely to the incredible natural beauty and wildlife, which attract hoards of vacation-hungry visitors all year long.

Weather

One of the biggest attractions of the Caribbean is year-round sunshine and warm weather; even the worst hurricane period, between August and October, usually receives minimal rain compared to other tropical islands. Proximity to the equator gives the Caribbean temperatures in the 70s and 80s, even in February.

Beaches

The white sandy beaches of the Caribbean islands are a magnificent sight to see and parallel to none. The Caribbean is well-known for its fine-grained, soft-white sand.

Water

The crystal-clear, turquoise waters of the Caribbean are world-renowned for their warm temperatures and diverse marine life. Snorkeling and scuba-diving are incredibly popular water sports in the Caribbean because the translucent water makes for extremely clear views.
