Is There a Seat Belt Law in Mississippi for Antique Cars?

According to Mississippi code Section 63-2-1, passengers on farm vehicles, all-terrain vehicles, postal vehicles, motorcycles and people with a medical excuse from a physician do not have to wear seat belts.

Penalty

Failure to wear a seat belt in an antique car in Mississippi can result in a fine. If convicted, the penalty is a misdemeanor punishable by a $25 fine. State code says each driver and passenger who fails to obey the law can be fined.
