HUD FHA Training
Part of being in the real estate industry is continuing education. Federal Housing Administration (FHA) loan guidelines for underwriting and approval are always being tweaked, requiring loan professionals and real estate agents alike to be updated on HUD-guided FHA training.
-
Training Offerings
-
The U.S. Department of Housing & Urban Development (HUD) sponsors free seminars all around the country to help educate industry professionals about current trends, requirements and guidelines for buyers using FHA loans. These are conducted by representatives from HUD. Brokers for loan shops and real estate offices will typically also sponsor their own in-house free training for employees and independent contractors.
Significance
-
Being an educated real estate professional means providing higher levels of service to clients by having pertinent knowledge that pertains specifically to their needs when making a purchase with an FHA loan. Professionals who do not attend HUD FHA training can misquote information and be subjected to claims of unethical behavior.
-
Considerations
-
Most FHA HUD training seminars count toward the required mandatory education hours for professionals in all 50 states. Guidelines on hourly requirements vary from one state to another.
