Speedometer Effect in Photoshop
Adobe Photoshop, a raster-based photo editing program, allows users to create a variety of graphics using sophisticated drawing tools. You can create the appearance of a speedometer in Photoshop without extensive knowledge of the program.

Use a speedometer graphic to add visual interest to posters, websites or other graphic design projects.
Procedure

Create a circle by selecting the ellipse tool on the main toolbar. Select "Outline" on the options palette. Add numbers using the text tool, found on the main toolbar. Draw a needle using the brush tool.

Considerations

To animate the speedometer, use Adobe Fireworks, ImageReady, Flash or another animation software. A version of one of these programs typically is included in the Adobe Suite, or you can purchase one separately.
