Comfortable clothes are advisable for a cruise. Jeans, slacks and shorts are all appropriate. You may want to pack one or two dressier outfits depending on the activities your cruise offers and your plans when in port. Flat, non-skid shoes are a good idea for walking on deck. Even in the summer months, you may encounter cool or rainy weather so pack a raincoat, umbrella, sweater and warm socks.

    Odds and Ends

A camera and/or video camera are must-haves to preserve those memorable moments. Bring extra memory cards, batteries, film and videotape in case you run low. By doing so, you avoid paying cruise ship prices. Bring binoculars for a close-up view of the shoreline and wildlife. Sunblock is a good idea to avoid a sunburn after spending hours on deck.
