Online HVAC Technician Training
As a heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) technician, you are responsible for installation, maintenance and repair of commercial and private climate control systems. Training courses offer online provide instruction in a variety of HVAC standards and prepare you for employment in the heating and cooling industry.

Online instruction teaches students the functions of various mechanical and electrical components such as, pumps, motors, fans and compressors. In addition, your education includes the understanding of HVAC system structures like pipe work, ducts and thermostats. You will learn how to recognize the cause of a problem in these components and make necessary repairs.

Training programs instruct you in a broad area of HVAC services; however, many technicians choose a specific skill-set. Generally, students embrace specialized skills in system installation or maintenance and repair. Others focus on either heating systems or air conditioning and refrigeration.

Certification training often includes entry-level gas fitter and fuel oil knowledge, and license instruction for the Environmental Protection Agency's refrigerant handler's exam. Course study offers education for successful completion of tests regulated by the Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Institute and North American Technician Excellence exams.
