How to Become a Trader in Singapore
Traders wanting to work in Singapore need a comprehensive resume, cover letter and references. Headhunters, newspaper adverts or personal contacts are useful, but most people transfer to Singapore with their existing company.

Newspapers
-
Buy the Saturday edition of "The Straits Times" for local finance and bank job opportunities. Any foreigner working in Singapore must have an employment pass or work permit. You can apply for this at the Singapore Ministry of Manpower (MOM).
Contacts
-
Talk to your current contacts and business associates. Most people looking for work as traders in Singapore get jobs via people they know. Employment consultants are often used, so contact as many as you can by phone, and send your curriculum vitae to all those who deal with banking jobs in the city.

Executive Search
-
Executive search companies can be useful, but bear in mind they take on specific jobs for senior positions and work exclusively for corporations or organizations. You may be lucky if you are in the right place at the right time, but they generally do not find work for job seekers as such.
