Duoderm is a brand name medical dressing used to protect wounds from infection. The dressing is comprised of absorbent fabric with an adhesive which secures the dressing over the wound. Website dressings.org explains Duoderm is a hydrocolloid dressing derived from a fruit pectin. Duoderm is biodegradable, air-proof and sticks directly to the skin.
