Introduce the dog gradually to the green bean diet; otherwise, it might experience an upset stomach from the unfamiliar food. Start by replacing approximately 10 percent of the dog's kibble ration with green beans. According to veterinarian Jon Rappaport, after two or three days you can then replace another 10 percent of the kibble with more beans. Continue this process until half the dog's ration consists of kibble and half consists of green beans.

My 8 year old Labrador Retriever Laci has as of today officially lost 20 lbs on the green bean diet and 2 mile walks (plus playing with our new puppy). Her arthritis is better and she is running and playing like never before.

will try this for our 125 lbs. chocolate lab. He needs to lose weight to relieve the stress that he's putting on his joints.....although if you ask him he feels fine!
