"Virtual Villagers" Game Problems
The video game "Virtual Villagers" is not without its glitches. Some players have had technical problems such as no audio, the game running double speed, and games not fitting the screen.
-
Audio
-
"Virtual Villagers" players often complain that they unable to hear any audio. Go into "Options," then look at the sliders for sounds and music. If they are all the way to the left, there will be no audio. If there are still audio problems, check the sound card for proper acceleration and current drivers.
Double Speed
-
Some players complain that the game runs at double speed and doesn't stop, while others may find the game runs too slowly. To change or check the speed, go to the options menu and click on the speed you'd like. Most simulation games stop when the game is turned off, but not "Virtual Villagers." The game calculates the amount of time the game has been off and what that translates into in game time, then simulates the events that might have happened while the game was off. To prevent this, pause the game before turning it off.

Game Doesn't Fit Screen
-
"Virtual Villagers" must run with a 800 by 600 pixel display size. To check those specifications, right click on an empty area of the screen. Click "Properties" from the pop-up box, then go to "Settings." In Vista, select "Personalize" and then "Display Settings." Use the slider to adjust the display.
