Biodynamic Massage Training
Biodynamic massage therapy combines psychological and physical healing. For example, therapy for a headache would involve massaging away muscle tension while addressing the underlying emotional stress or anxiety that caused the headache.

Background
-
According to the Cambridge Body Psychotherapy Centre, biodynamic massage originated in Norway and is now practiced in the U.K. by teachers, psychotherapists, occupational therapists or social workers who want to include holistic massage in their work. It uses various massage techniques to help balance the physical, mental and emotional stresses that lead to illness or pain.
U.K. Biodynamic Massage Training
-
Training programs range from half-day workshops to longer certification courses. London's Biodynamic Body Psychotherapy offers short introductory classes and weekly courses. The Cambridge Body Psychotherapy Centre offers a four-year clinical program. Graduates of the program complete two more years of supervised work to earn a Diploma in Body Psychotherapy.

U.S. Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy
-
Some American bodyworkers practice other holistic techniques with mental, emotional and physical benefits. While less related to psychotherapy, Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy in the U.S. is gentle, subtle therapy for the structures from the skull to the tailbone which contain the brain, spinal cord and cerebrospinal fluid. Schools like Baltimore's Holistic Massage Training Institute teach weekend courses. The technique views a person as a "body-mind" in which mental, physical and emotional health are interdependent.
