Instructions to SpongeBob Monopoly

Spongebob Monopoly rules are identical to original Monopoly, or the Plankton Rule can apply. The Plankton token moves one space when a one is rolled with the dice. Properties occupied by Plankton are free, or if owned, double rent is paid.

Play

Players take turns rolling the dice and move their token the number of spaces on the dice. Depending on which space the player lands on, the player can buy available property, pay rent on a property owned or follow the instructions on a Life Preserver card, Treasure Chest card or the space itself.

Strategy

When a single player owns all of the properties in one color group, pineapples or krusty krabs can be purchased. These indicate a higher amount of rent from other players landing on the property. Players can sell their properties to other players or mortgage them to the bank for money.

Winning

A bankrupt player is out of the game, and the last remaining player wins. A shorter version of SpongeBob Monopoly ends when the first player goes bankrupt. The player with the most money and assets wins. A time limit can be set, and at the end of the time limit, the player with the most money and assets wins.
