It also alleviates redness and reduces the itching of minor skin irritations. Neem oil can also be applied to the skin to help heal fungal infections or to the hair to help get rid of head lice.

    Leaves

    • The leaves of the neem plant can be ground up into a paste and applied to the skin to treat acne, scabies, cold sores and warts. Additionally, the leaves can be chewed or brewed into a tea to help alleviate the symptoms of stomach ulcers and support the functions of the immune system.

    Bark

    • The bark of the neem tree contains ingredients that have anti-inflammatory and antiseptic properties. Chewing the bark can help prevent cavities and gum disease. It is also a popular component in herbal dental therapies designed to treat gingivitis.
