Career Bliss, an online job-search community, noted that the average yearly earnings for full-time Olive Garden servers in 2010 was $23,000, including tips and hourly wages. Compare this to the reported average salary for all waiters and waitresses throughout the nation, which the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics indicated was more than $20,000 in 2009.

Olive Garden's medical plan has a $100 deductible. All part-time and full-time hourly workers at the Olive Garden are eligible for health, vision and dental plans beginning their first day on the job. Employees will be responsible for all or a portion of their plan payments. Wait staff can also take advantage of short-term disability or term life-insurance plans.

All hourly workers receive a 25-percent discount at Olive Garden as well as any of the Darden company restaurants, including Red Lobster and Bahama Breeze. Vacation benefits initially consist of one week and can go up to three weeks after seven years of service. Servers can also take advantage of a 401k program and low-interest school loans.
