Silverlight Streaming works with Silverlight to allow media to be involved in the applications designed for it.

Silverlight Streaming allows Expression Studio, along with other tools, to be used together to make the experience for users more interactive, which is considered desirable among developers. Interaction continues to bring users back to a site if they like change and new experiences.

A developer key is required to use Silverlight and since it is still in the beta stage, it is free for a total of one million minutes each month for 4 gigabytes of total data. An account is also required with Microsoft before it can be used.
