Finding the value of bonds requires the bond serial number, denomination and issue date. The location of these three items is easy to find. There's a link in the resource area that shows where each piece of information is located.

The site is simple to use. You simply click on the button at the bottom of the TreasuryDirect page that says "Get Started." Once you supply the information on the issue date, denomination and serial number, all you have to do is click "calculate" and it tells you the bond value.
