The legal name of a partnership is usually the last names of each partner or the name given in the partnership agreement.
-
Limited Liability Corporation or Corporation
-
The business name of a limited liability corporation (LLC) or corporation is usually registered with the state in which the business plans to operate. A corporation or LLC that operates multiple businesses may register a DBA under their business name for each additional business venture.
