The Honolulu area is home to seven U.S. military properties.

With Hickam Air Force Base, Fort Shafter, Tripler Medical Center, Pearl Harbor Naval Shipyard, Pearl Harbor Naval Station, Hawaii Marine Corps Base and a U.S. Coast Guard Sector all in and around Honolulu, there is a definite need for military lodging.

  1. Navy Lodge, Pearl Harbor

    • For active and retired military personnel the option to stay at military properties in and around Honolulu is a great option. One of the most recommended and well-rated is the Navy Lodge at Pearl Harbor which features an excellent array of amenities including fully-equipped kitchenettes, Internet access, free local calls, free newspapers, free coffee, flat-screen SAT TV, DVD players and coin-op laundry.

    Hale Koa Hotel, Honolulu

    • The Hale Koa Hotel is an active-military-only facility located on the waterfront near the Hilton Hawaiian Village Beach Resort & Spa and the Fort Derussy Beach Park. The hotel features nightly entertainment, a traditional Hawaiian restaurant, the Point health club and, of course, the beach. The 817 guest rooms have air conditioning, color TV and high-speed Internet access.

    Civilian Hotels

    • Military personnel who wish to stay in or near Honolulu can do so at most of the civilian hotels in the area while enjoying a special government rate. The rates tend to consist of a percentage discount issued for those carrying a valid ID proving current enrollment in the armed forces.
