Use flowers, water and candles for a beautiful centerpieces at your wedding.

With a bit of creativity and patience, you can create a beautiful wedding centerpiece out of simple and traditional items. In fact, you only need flowers, water and candles to create an inexpensive and romantic centerpiece for weddings.

  1. Nesting Bowls

    • Nestle a small glove vase inside a shallow glass dish. Arrange colorful flower heads inside the shallow glass dish, around the outside of the globe vase. Once the flowers are arranged, fill the globe vase halfway with water and place a floating candle into the water. If your wedding color scheme features two main colors, use one color for the flowers and the other color for the candle.

    Fishbowl Flower Vase

    • Place a simple glass fishbowl in the center of each table. Fill the bottom of the bowl with rocks or marbles in your wedding color. Wedge a skinny tower vase into the center of the fishbowl, anchoring it into place with the marbles or rocks. Fill the rest of the bowl with water and place a live fish inside the bowl for an unusual and entertaining centerpiece. Place a single stemmed flower in the tower vase and scatter tea light candles around the base of the vase.

    A Cheerful Mix

    • Group together an array of vases in various shapes and sizes at the center of the table. Fill some of the vases with water and others with rocks. Arrange stemmed flowers and taper candles inside tall vases. Arrange flower petals and tea light candles inside shorter vases. Each vase should be slightly different from the next for an eclectic, yet romantic, look.
