How do I Troubleshoot Fuji Digital Cameras?

You get the best pictures from your camera when it works properly.

Fuji digital cameras come in many different types including compact and SLR. There are many similarities in the different types of cameras when you are attempting to resolve problems.

Power

Your camera needs power in order to operate. Make sure you use compatible batteries. For example, the FinePix F80EXR uses one NP-50 rechargeable battery while the FinePix AX200 series uses two alkaline AA batteries. Be sure that the battery contacts and the battery compartment are clean. Incompatible or dead batteries, or batteries that do not make proper contact, will prevent the camera from working.

Storage

Use a compatible memory card, inserted properly. The FinePix S1500 and the FinePix AV100 series use SD and SDHC cards. If the camera is not taking pictures you may need to reformat the card or change it. A card that is not formatted correctly, or is full, can't record new information.

Settings

If some of the features on your camera do not seem to be working you may be on the wrong setting. For example, the flash will not work in all photography modes. Also, the camera is unable to take pictures if it is set on "Playback."
