What Is a Kettlebell Darc?
Kettlebells are weights made of cast iron. They are different from standard weights in that they have handles used mostly for weighted swinging. A D.A.R.C. swing is a type of swinging motion made famous by Pavel Tsatsouline and Jeff Martone -- two of the kettlebell industry's premier trainers.

D.A.R.C Swings
-
A basic kettlebell swing starts with a squat position, with the feet hip-distance apart and the kettlebell held with either one or both hands between the legs. Swing the kettlebell up to eye-level as you straighten your legs. In a D.A.R.C. swing, the kettlebell is held in one hand, then switched to the other at the top of the swing when the kettlebell is at eye level.
Technique
-
Learning the proper technique will take time and perseverance. You'll drop the kettlebell a lot while your body learns and adjusts to the motion. Don't be pulled forward as you try to catch the kettlebell as doing so may injure your back.
