The Weather in Fjords

The Weather in Fjordsthumbnail
Although fjords are found in other areas of Norway, the greatest concentration is in western Norway.

Fjords formed naturally when glaciers retreated and seawater flooded the valleys. Western Norway, with the greatest number of fjords in the world, is known as "Fjord Norway." Fjords are found in other areas of Norway as well; even the capital, Oslo, has its own.
