The Colorado Garden and Home Show is a 52-year-old non-profit organization that put on this yearly event in Denver. Held in February, it is a fresh escape from winter with thousands of square feet of blooming foliage and flowers. Does this Spark an idea?

    • Denver's Garden and Home Show takes place at the Colorado Convention Center. A small entry fee is charged for adults and children over age 12. The proceeds from this event fund scholarships and grants for students of Colorado State University who major in horticulture, botany, or any other plant and landscaping-related field.

    • This is Colorado's oldest home and garden show with 610 companies that participate and 1,300 booths, according to the organization's website. The convention center comes to life for nine days with 40,000 square feet of flowering gardens. The booths range from 10-by-10 feet to 20-by-40-foot islands. Electricity and water are not included in the base booth price and must be purchased additionally.

    • The organization spends $450,000 in advertising each year. And more than $38 million of incremental commerce is generated annually from the show, according to its website. The minimum a sponsor may spend on this show is $7,500. The premium sponsor package runs $80,000 and includes "above the name" presentation, hospitality benefits, presence on all advertising for the event and a large complimentary exhibit space.
