What to Pack in a Hospital Bag to Prepare for Labor
Packing a bag for the hospital may not be high up on your list of the many things you must do to prepare for your baby's arrival, but it can make all the difference during your hospital stay.

Significance
-
Once you go into labor, you can expect a lot of excitement, anxiety and general chaos. It will not be a good time to try and collect all of the things you want to take with you to the hospital. Having a bag neatly packed and ready to go will help put you at ease.
Labor Room Items
-
In the labor room your main concern will be on comfort. Pack soothing music, an inspiring item to use as a focal point, a sweater for warmth and lollipops to keep your mouth from drying out. Don't forget to pack your camera for first pictures.

Hospital Room Items
-
After you give birth, you will likely not feel your best. Pack a toothbrush, makeup, your favorite soaps and shampoos and your own sanitary pads. These items will refresh you and make you feel more like yourself.
Considerations
-
Don't forget your spouse or partner's needs. Make sure you pack snacks, a pillow and a light blanket for him. In addition, pack outfits and diapers for your baby and don't forget his car seat.
