Songs from Kazaa are not compatible with iPods.

Although Kazaa was once a peer-to-peer file-sharing service, often used to download illegal MP3 audio files, today it is a legal streaming and download service. Unfortunately, music from Kazaa is only compatible with certain devices and operating systems.

  1. Music on Kazaa

    • For $18.98 per month, Kazaa users can download unlimited ring tones for a single cell phone, as well as unlimited songs that you can play on up to three computers. The Kazaa catalog includes millions of popular songs and ring tones.

    Kazaa Compatibility

    • Kazaa is only compatible with the Windows operating system. Users running Windows on their PCs or Macs can use Kazaa, but those using Mac or Linux operating systems will not be able to download or play files from Kazaa. Kazaa is also not compatible with any personal MP3 player, including the iPod. It is not possible to transfer songs downloaded from Kazaa to your iPod.

    Future iPod support

    • Kazaa's website says it might offer additional subscription packages that allow you to play music on portable devices, but that support has not yet been put in place.
