    • The storage baskets in Whirlpool freezers are made of plastic, while those in Frigidaire chest freezers are constructed with wire. Whirpool offers up to three baskets, while Frigidaire provides as many as four. Some Whirpool models include an alarm that alerts you if the temperature rises too high.
