Shenandoah Mountain Cabins

Shenandoah National Park in Virginia is an ideal destination in both the summer and fall.

Significance

Shenandoah National Park encompasses slightly under 80,000 acres. Visitors follow the main roadway, called Skyline Drive, which cuts through the mountain range affording views on both sides of the road.

Types

Mountain cabins in the Shenandoah area can be private residences available for rent or cabins that are part of a larger resort. Group controlled cabins allow guests to use amenities such as swimming pools and lobby services. Private cabins are more remote and secluded.

Considerations

Mountain cabins in Shenandoah are not always equipped with typical lodging features. Some cabins, even those that are part of a larger complex, may not have telephones, televisions or Internet access.
