How Do I Set the Combination on a Briefcase?

It is easy to reset the combination on a briefcase.

If your briefcase contains documents or items you wish to keep secure, you will want to change the combination on the briefcase. The combination reset switches are located by opening the briefcase and looking behind the lock.

Reset Switches

Most three-number combination locks have one or two reset switches that are pin-like levers pressed with fingertips. The reset switches are held while the combination is changed.

Changing the Combination

There are one-thousand different possible combinations on a three-number combination lock. As the reset switches are held, the new combination is entered.

Resetting the Lock

Once the combination is entered into the lock display, the reset switches are released. Once the reset switches are released, the lock combination should be reset to the new combination.
