AutoCAD DVD Training
Is DVD-based AutoCAD training for you? There are pros and cons to training by using a DVD. While it's not for everyone, there certainly are good reasons to consider it.
-
Cost Benefit
-
Advancing your AutoCAD skills by learning from a DVD will cost significantly less than attending a class. Traditional classes can range from $500 to $1,000 and more each, while a DVD course can be purchased for less than $100.
Lack of Interaction
-
Unlike professor led courses, DVD training offers no interaction or opportunity to ask questions. This is the major shortcoming of learning by DVD.
-
Permanent Resource
-
When you purchase a DVD, it's yours for good. You will always have it at your fingertips in case you need a refresher course or need to reference a particular section. When you attend classes, you leave with what has been committed to memory and your notes.
Keyword Search
-
Many AutoCAD training DVDs have a useful keyword search function. If you are stuck with a certain AutoCAD command, simply pop your DVD into your computer, type in the command you are struggling with and immediately find information related to that command. It doesn't get much easier than that.
