Cleaning
-
According to Barefoot Lass, undiluted Coca-Cola removes stains on carpets. Apply straight Coca-Cola to the stain, wait 10 minutes and wash away the soda with a combination of soap and water. The high acid content cuts through blood, grease and other stains.
Warning
-
If you leave the soda on your carpet too long, the artificial colors in the drink set into the fabric, creating a new stain. Wash away the soda as soon as possible.
-
Considerations
-
Both club soda and hydrogen peroxide remove stains from your carpet, without the risk of staining from Coke products. Pour a small amount on the stain and blot away with a dry towel.
