Over three million persons have visited the Future of Flight Aviation Center and Boeing Tour Complex since its opening in 1968. Previous guests have included presidents, prime ministers, princes and kings. The complex features Boeing aircraft exhibits and planes under construction inside the largest building, measured by volume, in the world.

  1. Facility

    • The Future of Flight Aviation Center contains interactive exhibits for all ages in a huge gallery that includes aircraft interiors and an actual flight deck. Guests can then take a guided Boeing tour of the 93 acre building where the 747, 767, 777, and 787 aircraft are assembled. To get there, drive about 25 miles north of Seattle via I-5 to exit 189.

    Procedure

    • A number of requirements and restrictions apply to the Boeing tour. Video and still cameras are prohibited, as well as personal items including purses, backpacks and cell phones. No infants or small children. Children on the tour must be at least 4-feet tall. There are no child care facilities. Limited wheelchairs are available but make advance arrangements.

    Schedule

    • The Future of Flight Aviation Center is open from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Boeing tours are conducted on the hour beginning at 9:00 a.m. through 3:00 p.m. This schedule is daily and year-round except for Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Years Day.

    Reservations

    • Advance reservations are highly recommended. For online reservations go to the Future of Flight Aviation Center web page (www.futureofflight.org) or call 1-800-464-1476 between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. Pacific time. As of September 2010 rates are $15.50 adult, $8.00 children under 16, $14.00 military and seniors. Other charges may apply.
