How to Buy Adobe Reader on CD
At more than 40 megabytes, the Adobe Reader software file is too large for dial-up connections to easily download. Other than asking a friend to download the program and then copy the software to a CD, make your request for a CD directly from Adobe. The Adobe Reader distribution application commonly applies to companies wishing to distribute the software to customers, but personal requests for a CD are also accepted.

Adobe Reader software is available for distribution beyond the single-user installation, so a company wanting to distribute Adobe software may apply for a distribution license. Adobe does not have a separate application request for individual users.

To apply for an Adobe Reader CD, go to the Adobe Reader distribution application page at Adobe.com and click the button "Apply to distribute Reader". The page will open the license application form. Select the check box next to Adobe Reader and continue to complete the form. Fill in the Adobe Reader information section if you plan to distribute Adobe Reader software to customers. Otherwise, skip this section if requesting one CD for personal use.

Licensee Information

Every field is required for the licensee information form. If you do not own a business, input "Personal Use" in the field for "Company (or organization)" and "Job Title." For the "Job Function" field, choose "Other." If you want to receive notices on Adobe products and services, check the box next to mail, email or telephone. Read the license agreement and then click the Accept and Submit button.
