  1. Outside of the County

    • The maximum age allowed for a manufactured home moved into Jackson County from an outside county is 5 years. The land where the manufactured home is placed must be at least 8,712 square feet.

    Intra-County

    • Jackson County allows you to move a home from one location to another. However, moving a manufactured home from one area in Jackson County to another is only permitted if the home is no more than 10 years old.

    Inspection

    • Any manufactured home moved in Jackson County must pass inspection by the Public Development Department. The inspection covers: plumbing, electrical, heating and exterior and interior condition. It must be completed before the manufactured home is moved from its original site.
