About Pedicure Bowls

A pedicure bowl is a watertight container that's filled with water and then placed on the floor to soak the feet during a pedicure. Essential oils and bath salts are often added to the water to soften and relax the feet. Pedicure bowls can be used in professional salons or in the privacy of your home.

Types

Pedicure bowls are usually round or square and made of plastic, resin, fiberglass, wood, stainless steel or copper. These bowls can also be handcrafted with a variety of designs and textures.

Benefits

Pedicure bowls are more sanitary than foot spas because they don't circulate water or use filters that can trap and spread fungus and bacteria. After each use, the water in a pedicure bowl is dumped and the vessel is sanitized before it is used again. Pedicure bowls are also lightweight, portable and easy to store.

Size

Pedicure bowls are usually 18 to 20 inches wide and 8 inches deep. This allows feet up to a size 14 to rest comfortably inside of the bowl.
