Tobacco is used as a base note in Creed Tabarome Millesime.

Founded in 1760 in London by James Henry Creed, the perfume company of the House of Creed creates fragrances for royalty and world figures. It is in the seventh generation of family management. They have created perfumes with the term "millésimé" in the name. Does this Spark an idea?

  1. Meaning of Millésimé

    • According to the Babylon French English Dictionary, millésimé means "vintage, choice, high quality; classic; from a good year." In winemaking, millésime means "vintage."

    Importance of French

    • In the 1700s, French was the language of the cultured person. Educated Londoners would have learned French. With the House of Creed's move to Paris in 1854, the French language became even more intertwined with their perfumes.

    Fragrance Applications

    • Over 200 perfumes have been introduced by the House of Creed. All are signature fragrances, hand-made from original formula, using natural essences instead of synthetics and infusion rather than extraction. In this sense, all their perfumes could be considered vintage, choice, high quality--or millésimé.

    Perfumes

    • Creed Tabarome Millesime was created for a British cigar-smoking statesman. Top notes are bergamot and tangerine; middle note is ginger; base notes are sandalwood, patchouli, ambergris, tobacco and leather. Creed Imperial Millesime is for men and women, with top notes of crisp fruit and sea salt; middle notes of lemon, bergamot, mandarin, and florentine iris; base notes of musk, wood, and marine.
