Roomba Vacuum Problems

If your Roomba vacuum cleaner is not working correctly, listen to the beeps it emits after sounding the "uh-oh" error message. The number of warning beeps is an indication of the type of problem the Roomba is encountering. Does this Spark an idea?

  1. One Beep

    • One beep indicates that the Roomba has run into an obstruction or one of its wheels is not in solid contact with the floor. Pick up the Roomba and set it down in a different location.

    Two Beeps

    • Place the Roomba on a table or workbench and press the front bumper down to brush off any caked-on dirt. Clean the wheels and brushes and cut any strings or hair that may be preventing them from rotating freely.

    Three Beeps

    • A full or blocked waste bin generates three warning beeps. Remove and empty the bin, then clear out any items that may be obstructing the impeller behind the bin.

    Four Beeps

    • The Roomba will emit four beeps when its battery is running down. Blinking lights while the unit charges means the battery is installed incorrectly.
