What Are Insurance Surveys? thumbnail
Insurance surveys can be administered online or in paper form.

Insurance companies provide surveys to their customers to determine overall customer satisfaction, awareness and usage. This helps companies to determine what policies are working and what changes need to be made to better serve their customers.

  1. Types

    • There are many different types of insurance, and thus many different types of insurance surveys. Providers of homeowner's insurance, business insurance, automobile insurance, life insurance and health insurance all produce their own surveys.

    Function

    • Most business surveys can be broken down into two basic categories. The first is customer satisfaction. These surveys are used to gauge service satisfaction and identify problems. The second, awareness and usage, helps determine an entire market's views on and usage of insurance.

    Administration

    • Insurance surveys, like almost all business surveys, can be administered in one of several ways. They can be conducted online, through the mail or over the phone with a customer service representative.
