Schwinn Prelude Specifications

The Schwinn Prelude Men's Road Bike is one of the least expensive road bikes on the market. The Prelude's quality build and specifications make it a comfortable choice for performance cycling.

  1. Frame

    • Schwinn crafted a lightweight, aluminum frame to give the Prelude stability and durability. The bike is also equipped with a steel fork and road-bend bar and stem to improve control and handling.

    Wheels and Brakes

    • 700c wheels allow for comfortable and smooth riding. The Prelude's Aero 36-spoke alloy wheels are outfitted with radial-laced toe clips and straps to add further balance and comfort to the road enthusiast. This model also features Promax dual-pivot caliper brakes.

    Shifters

    • This bike's handling is supported by the Shimano A050 7-speed shifters and 14-speed drivetrain for adjusting to uphill or downhill riding while maintaining speed. Shifters are located in the center of the handlebars which is typical of non-competition bikes.
